However, qualified Nigerians are encouraged to seize this opportunity by submitting their applications through the official NERC portal (www.nerc.gov.ng) once it is open.

NERC Recruitment Requirements 2025

  • Candidates must be Nigerian citizens aged between 18 and 45.
  • Applicants should possess an HND, B.Sc., NCE, or OND from an accredited institution. Senior staff positions require at least a Second Class Honours degree (2.2) or its equivalent.
  • A discharge or exemption certificate is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Familiarity with the electricity sector is an added advantage.
  • Candidates must have at least five credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE, including Mathematics and English, in no more than two sittings.
  • Applicants should have no criminal records and must submit a certificate of medical fitness from a government-approved hospital.
  • Technical roles like drivers or technicians should have a valid driving licence or trade test certification is required.

How to Apply for NERC Recruitment 2025

Interested individuals can follow these steps to apply through the official portal at www.nerc.gov.ng:

  1. Visit the NERC portal www.nerc.gov.ng and navigate to the “Careers” section.
  2. Select the desired division and job role.
  3. Complete the application form and upload a recent passport photograph and CV in Word format.
  4. Submit the application.

The application process is entirely free. As such, payment in exchange for a job slot is not allowed. Candidates caught in the act will be disqualified and handed over to the authorities.
