There are posts that the Federal Ministry of Environment has announced an open call for applications for the position of National Project Coordinator for the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes Project (ACReSAL). However, at this point, the Ministry is not recruiting. The last recruitment initiative was a World Bank-supported effort aimed at improving sustainable landscape management practices in Northern Nigeria. The project also seeks to strengthen the country’s long-term ability to implement integrated, climate-resilient management strategies in semi-arid regions.

According to the announcement, ACReSAL carried out the recruitment to address environmental challenges across semi-arid regions of Northern Nigeria. The Federal Government believes that the project’s success will depend significantly on the leadership and expertise of the appointed National Project Coordinator.

  • Director or General Manager-level experience in any Federal Ministry, Department, or Agency (MDA) would be an advantage.

  • Experience in managing teams at a Director or equivalent level.
