Nigeria Police Recruitment Requirements for 2025
To be eligible for the recruitment, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be Nigerian by birth and possess a National Identification Number (NIN).
- Applicants must have at least five credits in WAEC/NECO or its equivalent, obtained in not more than two sittings. Credit passes in English and Mathematics are compulsory.
- Applicants must be between 18 and 28 years old, depending on the role.
- Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit. Male applicants must be at least 1.67 meters tall, while female applicants must be at least 1.64 meters tall. Male applicants must also have a chest measurement of not less than 86cm (34 inches).
- Female applicants must not be pregnant at the time of entry.
- Applicants must have a valid email address and phone number.
- SSCE statements of result or certificates from exams taken before 2015 will not be accepted.
- Applicants must be free from financial embarrassment and must not have been convicted of any criminal offense.
How to Apply for Nigeria Police Recruitment 2025
Follow these steps to apply for the Nigeria Police recruitment:
- Visit the official recruitment portal: www.apply.policerecruitment.gov.ng.
- Fill out the online application form.
- Upload scanned copies of your SSCE certificate, birth certificate, and certificate of origin.
- Print out your completed online form and guarantor form.
- Submit these documents during the physical screening exercise at designated centers nationwide.
Applicants who meet the online registration requirements will be invited for an automated physical screening exercise. The date for this exercise will be communicated later. During the screening, applicants must present the original copies of the following documents: school certificates, birth certificate or declaration of age, evidence of physical and mental fitness from a government-recognized hospital, letter of good character from your village or district head, Indigene certificate signed by the Local Government Chairman or Secretary and Guarantor form.
You have to make sure that your guarantor form is endorsed by a public servant who is not below the rank of GL13, a police officer not below the rank of CSP, or an equivalent rank in the Armed Forces or other paramilitary services
Successful applicants will be required to take a Computer-Based Aptitude Test on a date to be announced later. Those who pass the test will proceed to the automated medical screening, which will take place at one of the 17 Police Zonal Medical Centers.
