The State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in Makurdi has released the list of candidates shortlisted for its teacher recruitment exercise. According to the Board, applicants who participated in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted earlier this year can now check their status on the official SUBEB website starting from 6:00 PM on Tuesday, 26th November 2024.

SUBEB Makurdi conducted the CBT earlier this year as part of its teacher recruitment programme aimed at improving basic education in Benue State. Cut-off Marks Announced

- 50% for Degree holders
- 45% for NCE (Nigeria Certificate in Education) candidates
- 25% for candidates with B.A./B.Sc. in English, Mathematics, and Pure Science courses

How to Check Status
Applicants can check their status by visiting the official SUBEB website at https://benuesubeb.org. Once on the site, candidates should:
- Click on the link labelled Shortlisted Candidates.
- Enter your application number and CBT PIN in the provided search bar.
- Click on View status and print out the screening invitation if shortlisted.
Candidates are advised to follow all instructions carefully and ensure they print the necessary documents for the next stage.
Physical Screening Dates
The Board has scheduled the physical screening of successful applicants to take place from Monday, 2nd December 2024, to Thursday, 5th December 2024. This screening will be held at the SUBEB Headquarters in Makurdi.
Applicants are encouraged to check the timetable for their specific Local Government Area (LGA) on the SUBEB portal. The timetable will indicate the designated screening dates for each LGA.
Shortlisted candidates must bring the following documents to the physical screening venue:
- A printed copy of their CBT result or invitation letter.
- A valid means of identification (such as a national ID card, driver’s licence, or voter’s card).
- Original and photocopies of academic certificates.
- Evidence of state or local government of origin.
- Two recent passport-sized photographs.
The Board emphasised that only candidates who meet the requirements will be considered for final employment.
