Kwara TESCOM: 5,928 Applicants Emerge, Cutoffs and Interview Dates

Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has invited 5,928 people for interviews to become senior school teachers in the state.

TESCOM Chairman Mallam Bello Taoheed announced this on Monday. He explained that for people from Kwara State, the lowest test score needed to qualify for non-STEM subjects is 60%. However, for those from Baruten, Isin, Oke Ero, and Patigi, the score required is 50%.

“The cutoff for STEM subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Computer, and Geography is 50%,” he said. “This is because we need more STEM teachers to help students in these important subjects.”

All 93 applicants from Kaiama Local Government Area are invited for interviews. The same applies to the 37 Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWDs) who took the test.

For people who are not from Kwara State, the required test score is 70% for all subjects.

TESCOM has asked all applicants to check their interview status on the recruitment website. The interviews will take place from Tuesday, February 25, to Saturday, March 1, 2025.
